Pastor Hedgepeth accepted his call to ministry in 2001 and was later licensed as a minister in August 2007 by the governing body of United Pentecostal Churches of Christ now known as Pentecostal Churches of Christ.
In October 2011, he was ordained as an elder in the Lord’s Church by his pastor Bishop Marian D. Hickman with credentials from Pentecostal Churches of Christ. In October 2015, he was elevated to the position of Assistant Pastor of Word of Life PCC.
Late in 2019, Pastor Hedgepeth launched the online teaching ministry of The Assembly of Believers. In September of 2021, Pastor Hedgepeth along with his wife, LaShonda, stepped out on faith and launched The Assembly of Believers at their current location.
